Your honeymoon is an opportunity to savor your first few days or weeks as a newlywed. It is a vacation with the purpose of unwinding after your big day, and getting some rest and relaxation with your brand new spouse. It might be the biggest trip you ever take, or if you are lucky, the first of many such journeys.

The first step in your planning process is to think about if going on your honeymoon immediately after your wedding makes most sense for you and your honey. You might need some extra time to bank more vacation days, or even to bank the money you need to treat yourself to your special honeymoon trip.
